the healing kitchen
grief informed nutrition
Service Description
Grief is exhausting, and it takes a physical toll that most people don't talk about. When you’re walking through loss, you shouldn't have to worry about the grocery store or the stove. I’m here to handle the heavy lifting for you, sourcing, preparing, and stocking your kitchen with "heat-and-eat" meals that actually nourish the "Grief Gut." It’s a way for me to protect your health while you focus on your heart, meeting you exactly where you are with no expectations in return. Includes The Sovereign Soul and The Legacy Kitchen services: The Sovereign Soul- The Capacity Map: A gentle assessment of your current energy. We identify what is realistic for you right now—whether that’s a full meal or simply "assembly-only" nourishment. Grief-Responsive Nutrition: Strategic focus on the nutrients that support the nervous system and adrenal health during periods of high emotional stress and cortisol spikes. The "Zero-Decision" Pantry: A curated list of shelf-stable and easy-access foods that require no cooking but provide the biological anchors needed to stay grounded. Environmental Softening: We look at your kitchen not as a place of work, but as a sanctuary. We’ll make small shifts to ensure the space feels supportive rather than demanding. A Steady Hand Protocol: A customized follow-up guide written with clarity and simplicity, designed to be read even when your "grief brain" makes focusing difficult. The Legacy Recipe- The Heritage Interview: A session to discuss the story, the flavor profile, and the emotional significance of the recipe(s) you want to preserve. The Biological Update: A thoughtful "translation" of the recipe. I replace inflammatory or energy-draining ingredients with nutrient-dense alternatives that maintain the integrity of the original taste. The Legacy Card: You receive a beautifully digitized, updated version of your recipe, complete with "Chef’s Notes" on the logic behind the nutritional shifts. The Sensory Check: A guidance session (or prepared meal, depending on your location) to ensure the updated version still feels like "home."
